Islamic science and medicine were declared to be non-science, not worthy of attention. The Mughal Empire was actually amplified. So the research centres were closed down. And what we can see in a sense in medicine as in all of the other sciences is the emergence of a kind of knowledge which is best thought of as a creole form of knowledge.
