"If you would hav tried to follow that templet and not modify your tactics and techniques in order to be successful on the target, we would have been getting our just smashed on a regular like, theres no way. So then when you you'd had to modify your tactics n techniques based on your experience, and you realized that theory didn't work, but you stil had to understand the principles of combat," he says. "Some of those that would push back the hardest against a change in that theory were the ones who used to be teaching it, but had no real world experience to back it up."
