The New Dating of the Jebelihud Fossils
Jebelihud fossils are archaic looking, with a more pronounced brow ridge than a people and an elongated brain case. But they're definitely not neanderatalls or anything else. If you passed one of the people from jeblihod on the street, you probably wouldn't look twice at them. All of these specimens are much closer to us, modern homosapians, than they are to any other archaic hominin that we know of.
