The Commerce Department's Enforcement of the Entity List

Inishio chips are used in encrypted storage devices as so-called bridge controllers. The Commerce Department says affiliation with an entity listed party should be considered a red flag. Security researchers have shown that storage device manufacturers, including Lenovo, Western Digital, Verbatim, and Zalman all use encryption chips sold by Inishio.
