Byron and the Romantic Poets
What I like in Byron is the wit, obviously the lucidity. He doesn't go in much for mysticism. And he annoyed Wordsworth very much because he Wordsworth said they were all pinched from Tintanabe. Fundamentally, he's a child of the encyclopedist and the deist 18th century. The humor goes along with that.
