How to Be an Effective Filmmaker

I can see why some of these indie films is kind of missing the point where it's like okay well you're basically making a big film at this point. I don't think there's anything wrong with like creatives planning movies together obviously right? But then it's like all right but what if you're Matthew McConaughey suddenly you're not just a creative right you're a big money draw and are part of that pipeline going to the studios. And so I guess it's a question of what is the most effective way to do that for the WGA stuff.
