The Benefits of a Part Time Legislator
Montana has a part time legislature that meets every other year for 90 days. They don't get paid very much so this is not like a full time job. That's problematic in and of itself because the people that tend to be representatives, usually like own a business there's a lot of landlords in the state. I don't think that they get nearly the volume of calls and emails and reaches as legislators do in other states.
