There's a perception that in the beginnings of the occult revival, which I think is kind of a problematic term because it implies a sort of end of anglophone occultism. But when we actually dive into what matters and yates and several other magicians around the original Golden Dawn were doing, there was actually a significant amount of spirit work. And even with early Wicca, there's a lot of strains of Wicca that draw a lot from the type of spirit work that's in the Key of Solomon.
