The Crouching Guy in the Photo

There are 12 soldiers in the picture and 11 names written on the back. The nephews all say it's their uncle, but they confirm to us that he never pointed at it and hey, this is me. It could be van quik, whose name john could have left off because he didn't know the dutch national by name or rank. That would also explain why the crouching guy was deed as van kuik by both his own daughter and dick winters. There is a typo in the caption where they misspell his name with an l instead of a z lalinsky.
