Miss Marvell's Shape Shifting Ti Powers in the Comics?

In the comics, miss marvell has sort of shape shifting ti powers. They pretty quickly kind of reduce that down to she can just like, elongate her limbs and make big fists and stuff. So they, i think, not unreasonably, decided that that would look really silly in live action. My problem is, they changed it so that it wouldn't look visually silly. And they had the worst c g i effect i've ever seen be the powers. It's very like, ye, i don't know what to say. I i don't think i've gotten a great explanation from them about why they changed it.
