Is There a Key to Choosing to Adopt Certain Narratives?

I think one of the things that's so interesting is like it almost rarely feels like people are choosing to adopt certain narratives in a weird way. Your background, your parents' political beliefs, a lot of these things have a pretty big impact on what people choose to see the world through. There's something about that intentionality to me that feels much better than blindly adopting narratives because our friends believe them or because that's what we were born into.
