The Most Counter Intuitive Statistical Result
In a close group of men and women, the mean number of partners should be the same. But when you actually go out and ask people how many sexual partners they've had, men always report having more sex with each other. In the last survey for examplen 16 to forty four year olds, the average number for men was 12. And the women said they had an average of eight sex, male sexual partners each,. which is just not feasible.
