In the beginning, he was very nervous about the possibility of Russian expansion into Hungary. He now seems to have evolved into positioning himself more as a kind of potential deal maker with Russia. I had no sense that he saw himself as a potential deal maker or that he knew exactly what might work. It's clear that he is in favor of diplomacy.
