The Moral Weight of Meditation
effective altruists believe that they're effort to earn money in the first place prior to giving it away is useless or even harmful. They are utilitarian consequentialists who think the only way to evaluate moral worth of something is by its long-term consequences. "I don't see anything philosophically objectionable objectionable for me," says David Perry, a self-confessed meditation enthusiast.
