Is There a Fundamental Theory of Physics?

I think that science has traditionally been along the lines of, will make this model for how the world works. However, there is one exception. If we have a fundamental model for physics, we can potentially have a model which just nails it. The bad news is we end up with this computational irreducability phenomenon. But i think it isn't correct to say that science is fundamentally incomplete. There is a form of science that is. So i se so ous telling me that there exists a science that has captured in is field, and it is settled and definitive.
