What Is Contentious Politics? Part Two
The concept of contentious politics was initially developed by a sociologist named Charles Tilly. In the book I distinguish between what I call progressive or constructive movements, which are essentially seeking to expand the circle of people to whom justice applies. And then one further clarification before we talk a little bit more about the aims of the three chapters in part one. The main aims of the chapter that's really trying to elaborate on this definition are defined in part two.
