The Prophets - The Prophetic Consciousness
Carol Costello: I turned back to a book that I haven't read for a long time by Abraham Heschel called The Prophets. He says in his opening chapter, what manner of man is a prophet? Concerned with the human relationship with God, she says. Costello: They're luminous and explosive, they're agitated and urgent. Their highest good is not wisdom or wealth or might, but spirit. This was really interesting to me, to man's capacity. Since Jung just we spent last week talking about capacity and incapacity, they're iconoclastic.
