The Importance of Filtering in Planning
As a planner I've become quite discouraged especially when I was first coming out of school to learn that many planners spend all of their time doing zoning administration and just kind of reviewing projects against zoning codes. It is unfortunate that the talent and you know desire to improve cities can become kind of wasted on just kind of focusing on regulations. There's a real scene and unseen component to it. We see the luxury units but we don't see all of the pressure that's being relieved on units all across the market.
