Detecting Fraud in Real Time
The number one problem that we are faced with, even in the space of on line fraud, is really our ability to detect fraud in real time basis. So what that means is that when a transaction is actually taking place, can we make a decision whether or not that transaction is fraudulent? And if we think about american express transactions, like we have more than one point two dollar trillion transactions annually. We would like to create this decision in almost milly seconds when the transaction is taking place stright and that is where the need for really building machine learning models that can be deployed in real time becomes the number one asks so that we are able to service our customers.
