As a child, the way anger was or was worked with within my family system was that it was either outwardly expressed with a kind of violence. So it was just safer to feel fear. But what is different for me now than has ever been before in his life is that my skills with working with those feelings are so much higher than they were before. I can experience anxiety knowing that the anxiety will end.
