The Insanity Defense of Ezra Bathsheba
Bathsheba claims she is pregnant and was acting erratically because of stress over her father being run out of Massachusetts by loyalists. The jury didn't believe that this was an insanity defense, so they convicted Bathsheba and the other four soldiers to be hanged. "If they go through with this poll, she will be the first woman executed in what is now America," says CNN's Jarrett Bellini.
