Tithing Is So Much More Than Just the Money.
Katie's temple recommend lapsed and she stalled getting it renewed. Her bishop was fine with her paying tithing even if it wasn't to the church. But then he did some research and said, "To have it count for your recommend, you have to be paying it to the church" It just stung and I'm still processing it, but hopefully we'll get some answers.
