No one seems to believe they have any kind of stentiaince any kind of consciousness, at the moment. And there is no good reason to believe that they do. These ais are just mining data there, just mining our own words and reflecting them back to us. We're already at the stage where we can be fooled into thinking that we're conversing with another mind, when we're not. It's more extraordinary that we can get so far towards that sort of mimicry without any kind of mind at all to speak of. i think that's really the, ou know, the bigger warry, unless, you know, there's some sort of oversight,
