God's Steadfast Love Lasts Longer Than My Brokenness
The bible project points out that there are two kinds of justice. There's retributive justice, which we would classifies punishment. But there's also restorative justice, where justice is the administering of consequences in order to correct and bring back. If god is a god of mercy, if god is a God of steadfast, trustworthy love, then somehow it seems to me that in these consequences, there's something in god's heart that wants to restor and make holly.
