The Greatest Mistake of the 1960s
By the start of the 1970s, it started to seem that military technology was not slowing down. Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara pushed for different kind of innovation strategy from the freewheeling of the 1950s. Edward Teller, father of the hydrogen bomb and catalyst of the Polaris program, was inflamed. I believe it's the greatest mistake that we have made,. since the end of the World War II when we failed to develop the ICBM.
