How to Avoid Making Mistakes in Real Estate

Real estate fit me because it moves slow, low barrier to entry. I bought an apartment complex before I knew what I was doing and barely got out of that with my shirt. As it got bigger, it's a lot better to have a little bit of expertise on your team. Most of my stuff did okay when the Great Recession happened but then things dried up for various reasons. It took a few years to pay off those lines of credit so missed the first sale of real estate right after the Great Recession.
