Every single city that has tried to regenerate itself has started with making it more difficult, not more easy to park. The car in effect bullies people off the street. There is of all the space that a car is sitting on, it's dead. That place is taken over by two tons of empty metal. Why are car park spaces being created at a time when we know that less cars makes the city more vibrant? It's full of the money. But cars make a modicum of income for councils.
