The Role of the CFO in Accounting

i like to think of it as different swim lanes. When i started out in industry, in the profession, the c f o was primarily in the accounting swim lane. To day an industry today, c m a has to be fluent, because that is the way value flows in an organization. The inner disciplinary nature of those knowledge domains, how they're taught undergraduate, perhaps as separate silos are problematic for the way it really works in industry.
