The Different Zones of the Adrenal Glands

The adrenal gland is broken up in two anatomic functional units. The adrenal medulla comes from neurocrest origin and it produces catacolamines. It's got a couple of different arterial feeds into it. On the right side, the vein is shorter and drains directly into the IVC. But on the left, the vein was longer and drains into the left renal vein.
