You have to be ok with a gradual of the process. You want to strengthen those areas outside of just doing squats. Some of the places where people really injure themselves is when they try to increase too fast, when they trying to increase that load too fast. Just let it take the time it needs to strengthen, recover and strengthen. Is what happened to me. I started do split squats with no weight. Oh, i gave myself the time i needed to recover.
