The Democratic Party Has Moved to the Left
In the last 20 years, democrats have become very liberal on a issues related to equality and identity. And so the gaps are getting bigger and bigger. Now there's very little overlap. There are hardly any liberal republicans and conservative democrats in the mass electorate,. I think o by the time obama came along, who was all about bringing the two sides together. Ironically, that congress in two thousand nine the most a liberal republican was to the right of the most conservative Democrats.
