Is Huntington's a Trinucleotide Repeat Disorder?

In Huntington's disease, you're considered to have sort of symptomatic Huntington's disease if you have greater than 40 caj repeats. intermediate alleles on the Huntington's gene on chromosome four are between 27 and 35. You're more likely to have an earlier onset of the disease if you inherit the gene from your father versus your mother. The mutant protein forms clumps in brain cells and causing them to become damaged over time and die.
