In the long run, I think the economic systems that underpin what gets created end up mattering a great deal. What kinds of things do those systems pull towards? And over time are those things good and satisfying to people such that they'll choose to keep spending their time there. To me, the story of like the internet so far was kind of like, you know, Craigslist came along and killed the business model for classifieds. Facebook came along. The massive scale attention monster sort of like network was such a powerful force. It was such a economically compelling thing because everybody in the world had attention to spare,. Like people used to get bored.
