The Battle Over Perception in California

A lot of, especially when we want to talk about crime and street behavior, like that conversation has been fueled by an internal debate within California. And so you have police all over the state who will tell you, I don't bother to arrest for those things because they're not going to get prosecuted. That's not actually the role of a cop. A misdemeanor is a law on the books, whether or not you agree with the punishment. These are serious problems, but they're not necessarily only the result of California's progressive policies.
