How to Use Bots in Elections

In countries like Russia, but also in Venezuela and Ecuador, organizations that are very close to the government work to do this kind of bot-driven traffic and opinion manipulation. They don't only attack citizens in country in these cases, they're also used to attack people below the line in the Guardian comments section. A lot of times it's a Syrian electronic army that does this work, or they'll farm it out to a consultant in Bahrain.
