The Christ Against Culture Is a Very Moderate View

The Christ of culture view is good in that it attempts relevance. But I would say, and I think Niba was good in pointing this out, it leads to ultimate irrelevance. Even if it were extreme, even if it were Christ against culture, even then, the way God is used throughout the history of the church has been quite amazing. The idea there is that you have guys like Thomas Aquinas or thinkers like him who have said, in many senses culture has been preparation for this reality of Christ.
