There's this woman named anathema device. And she is the descendant of Agnes Nutter who is the woman who you might remember her from the title. She was burned at the stake for being a witch but generations of her descendants afterward have passed this like single copy down from person to person. So they're kind of having this like chance meeting and talking and actually being kind of attracted to each other. The prophecies are so specific that they can only recognize them in retrospect.
Good Omens was written by a sort of science fiction supergroup, Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. It's one of those books where it's as fun to chew on the turns of phrase as it is to find out what happens, which is pretty amazing since it's literally about the end of the world.
