What Are Some Other Responses to the Problem of Animal Suffering?
Some atheists have tried to say that animal suffering is a consequence of the fall in some way. But i find that implausible, and so i'm not going to camp much on that. I think almost no one accepts the cartesian view about that. Anybody who had a cat or a dog for a pet, ah, has very good reason thinking that animals really do, in fact, suffer painfully,. et cetera. So it looks to me like though the cartesian move ould help, if you could find it at all plausible. And so those are a few that people have tried that strike me as not very promising.
