William godwin was the first person to write down anarchist thought. His whole idea was small, little, small, autonomous communities. But it wasn't until pierre josepha prudent came along about 50, 60, 70 years after goodwin that the world's first self proclaimed anarchist came along. The battle in seattle and occupy wall street were so anarchists they wouldn't even say that they were anarchists.
