What Should I Do to Prepare for a Recession?

There's always something that makes people think the next few months are going to be really bad. The thing about the doom and gloom is that sometimes it gets corroborated by actual drops in stock prices. Stocks are riskier than bonds because their claims on uncertain future cash flows have no residual value in a corporate failure. Investors need to take some risk typically to be in inflation with their savings.
