Roku is the operating system for the television so when you talk about a connected TV that just means it can connect to Wi-Fi and you can stream content right Roku is that operating system in the same way you have iOS for your phone and Android for your phone. The way that Roku makes money one is advertising so they have an ad share agreement with companies that are streaming and have ad supported streaming channels, then also if you're signing up for new services Roku will make an agreement with some of these new streaming services and take a cut If you sign up on the operating system or through your Roku television there's a very large opportunity for them to support the ecosystem and take share of
