The Importance of Listening to Music

Crossroads became Clapton's signature song, and possibly his definitive guitar performance. The group hated performing for people who weren't listening, and started to play badly as a result. In late 1967, a tape had started to circulate in British music circles of some new songs by Bob Dylan. Manfred Mann was the first person to cover them with If You Got A Go Go Now, and Just Like A Woman. And they did indeed record Quinn and have a number one with it.
