The Importance of Finding Yourself

When you produce work that is your personal style, you feel pretty good about it because it's very true to what you wanna be doing. And I also think when you copy another artist and even with these mimicking style things, I used to really look down on it. But now what I realize is that when you mimic another artist, it's because they have something that is in you. After a while, what you have to do is add more of yourself and get rid of the parts that aren't you. It's not necessarily bad. It's in a way, it's a way of finding yourself.
