Is a Digital Twin Better Than a Natural History Control?
The fda is allowing the use of natural history studies to serve as comparator arms in lieu of a placibo arm. Why would using a digital twin be preferable to, say, a natural history control? There are really two reasons. It enables us to run trials where you actually are potentially significantly higher powered compare to studies that have external controls like natural history controls.
