The Moral Argument for Paying for a Product
There has to be a very compelling reason that we would all find some benefit in this. The minute you ask everybody to pay for something that only some consume, you're going to make that market dysfunctional and it's going to become very expensive. When you've got a system that ensures that the person who consumes the product pays for the product, on the one hand, the behaviors of the consumer are pretty well constrained. And that's what keeps everything moving forward.
