Women's incomes are depressed and it's really hard to afford a comfortable lifestyle as a single woman. So there's lots of financial incentive to get into a romantic relationship. 47% of couples admit finances are one of the biggest stressors in their relationships. If your money is separate, you're almost forced to talk about it on a more regular basis. Whereas if you have it combined, they feel like they don't have to have an open dialogue to make it work.
