For the first five years of my freelance career, i resisted specializing because it felt safer to transfer all the risk to my clients by billing hourly. I was like, i'll write anything, because i'm a writer. And and i did not reduce the scope of what kind of clients i wanted. It felt like, well, you know, there's more clients out there if i'm general but what i found was this really difficult to get above a hundred bucks an hour as a general listnert. That gets a lot easier to do when you're super specific about what what you do.
