The Differences Between Inflation and Financialization

In an inflationary environment, you don't speculate. You know that I'm going to buy this toaster or whatever some durable good because it will hold its value. That is not what's happening here with the financialization from a deflationary pressure. People search and speculate for monetary premium out there. We're kind of close to this in 2008 or 2007, maybe with real estate people thinking, oh, real estate has never gone down year over year. It will always continue to go up. Overall, all of this stuff is a deflationary degradation. What else do I say in my notes? That's it. Let's go.
