Britain forced to pay Brussels 2.3 billion pounds over import fraud. Court ruled that Britain had actually failed to collect billions as a result of fraud on imports from China. European Commission did complain that importers into Britain had really escaped a number of customs duties. This is all to do with false invoices and artificially low value documents for things like Chinese textiles and also footwear.
