COVID-19 in the US

The BQ1 and BQ1.1 variants continue to take hold in the US, now making up 44.2% of new cases combined. New York has seen COVID activity decrease, including a 2% decline in hospitalizations. We can only hope that the variant story wins, that we don't have a surge of cases and hospitalizations that lead to our already overwhelmed hospitals even more overwhelmed.
